Choir and 10:00 a.m.
Sunday Service:
Trinity’s
choir enhances worship at the 10:00 a.m. Sunday service. Our eclectic
mix of styles in organ music, choral music, and congregational hymns
continues to keep us all, your organist included, on our toes!
But liturgy, after all, is the work of the people, so I suppose
we should be glad to stretch ourselves in our worship. We are slowly
learning new hymns and spiritual songs from Wonder, Love, and Praise,
the supplement to The Hymnal 1982. With its new hymns, some traditional, some in other
languages, and a goodly number of spirituals, this is a wonderful
ministry.
As of March 2006, we
welcome Edwin Milham to the helm as our new choir director. Ed
comes to us with a broad and accomplished background in choral
music. One of Ed's first orders of business will be to
increase membership in our small but ambitious choir. If you are
interested in joining the choir, please contact the choir director
through the church office.
Ed is joined by organist, Donald C.
Rockwood. We are blessed to have two such accomplished
musicians working together to lead the parish's "joyful noise" on
Sunday mornings.
8:00 a.m. Sunday Service:
Donald
C. Rockwood also serves as the organist for our 8:00 a.m. Sunday services. In addition to the enthusiastic
singing participation by those attending the service, the 8:00 a.m.
service occasionally features guest musicians, such as Bob Hanold’s
bagpipe solos and Merry O’Neil’s rendition of “On Eagles Wings”
during Lent. For more information about the music ministry at this
service, please contact Donald Rockwood through the church office.
